We were thrilled to be part of an exciting new chapter for Chelsea and her husband, the creative duo behind The House That Black Built — a stylish interior and lifestyle blog known for its timeless design inspiration.
Having recently moved into a new home, Chelsea and her husband are embarking on a full renovation from the ground up — and we were delighted to help bring their kitchen vision to life with stunning Calacatta Monet marble worktops.
Chelsea began her design journey at Imperial Stone, where she explored an incredible selection of natural marble slabs. After narrowing down her choices to two striking options — Calacatta Monet and Royal Antique Black — she ultimately fell in love with the soft, artistic veining of Calacatta Monet marble. Its timeless elegance and subtle drama made it the perfect centrepiece for her new kitchen.
Once the slabs were selected, our team at Purple Granite templated the worktops with precision before inviting Chelsea to our Kidderminster workshop. There, we collaborated on the exact cutting layout, ensuring every vein and natural detail aligned perfectly with her design vision.
After cutting and shaping the slabs, we delivered and installed the finished worktops — bringing Chelsea’s dream kitchen to life. The Calacatta Monet marble was given a final polish and professionally sealed, adding both protection and a radiant, lasting shine.
The result? A truly breathtaking space that balances modern elegance with the timeless character of natural marble — a kitchen that’s as functional as it is beautiful.

At Purple Granite, it’s not just about kitchens — we love seeing our stone used creatively throughout the home. One of our favourite recent projects was this stunning marble fireplace, designed in collaboration with our client Chelsea, from The House That Black Built.
After completing the installation of her Calacatta Monet marble kitchen worktops, Chelsea came to us with a new idea for her reception room — a bespoke marble fireplace surround that would bring warmth, elegance, and timeless style to the space.
Chelsea envisioned a clean, minimal design to allow the natural veining and soft tones of the marble to take centre stage — and the result couldn’t be more beautiful. The simplicity of the shape highlights the intricate movement within the stone, creating a sophisticated focal point that complements her home’s contemporary aesthetic.
Marble fireplaces have long been synonymous with luxury and character. Their natural beauty, combined with expert craftsmanship, makes them the perfect choice for anyone looking to make a lasting design statement.
Whether you’re dreaming of a modern marble fireplace, a classic marble surround, or simply looking for ways to incorporate natural stone beyond your kitchen, our team can help you bring that vision to life — from design and templating to fabrication and installation.
